Welcome to Suffolk Village Halls

Would you like to hire a Village Hall for an event? Do you manage a Village Hall in Suffolk and want to promote it?

If you have answered ‘yes' to either of these questions, please read further to find out more!

What does Suffolk Village Halls do?

It allows you to find the right hall for your needs (e.g. wedding reception, corporate training day, dance classes or meetings). You can compare the halls and then use the contact details to make your booking. It also gives your hall the ability to promote it's activities and services, free of charge to a whole new audience by having a dedicated page on a website which has a large number of visitors.

How does it work?

The site is designed to help you search for a hall, using either postcode or village name. This will produce a map showing a number of halls in that area. Links are provided to each individual hall, which contains further details (e.g. facilities, contact details, a calendar of events, photos and videos).. The site also works by providing the management of the hall with a dedicated page where you can detail all of the services and facilities you can offer to the general public, giving you a new market to help make your hall more sustainable. Local hall volunteers are responsible for updating details about their hall.

Do you represent a Village Hall?

Suffolk Village Halls gives you the chance to promote your hall in the way you see fit, with self editable information, including pictures, videos and various other services. This service is free, so if you are not already registered join today by clicking here and start loading your photos, videos and information.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you would like to book a hall for hire then please contact the hall direct - not ourselves. We are only the developers of the website - we don't represent the halls.

For your information

This service was initially confined to the St Edmundsbury district but due to the success of it we are now making it open to all halls in Suffolk. If you are in another area of Suffolk and would like your hall to be added, please click here and fill in our online form or let us know by e-mailing

Suffolk Village Halls was a collaboration between St Edmundsbury Borough Council & Suffolk ACRE (now Community Action Suffolk) with the use of new technology through the Internet to promote the vital services and facilities that village halls and community centres can offer. Community Action Suffolk now continues to support and maintain the site on an ongoing basis.
